Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

This policy covers the RCCG Jesus House Scarborough website. We are a church. We use your information to serve you, run our services and programs, and keep in touch. RCCG Jesus House Scarborough, 1500 Midland Ave, Scarborough, ON M1P 3B9, phone +1 (416) 266-2220.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need for the thing you are doing.

• Forms on the website: prayer requests, first-timer and new-believer forms, membership, workers in training, event registration, baby dedication, naming ceremony, resource and transport requests, and contact messages. Each form asks for the details needed to follow up, such as your name, email address and phone number, and whatever you write in the message.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Giving: if you give through PayPal, PayPal collects your payment details. We do not see or store your card number. If you give by e-transfer or cheque, your bank or the mail handles it.

3. How we use it

• To answer your requests, pray for you, follow up on a visit, and register you for events and programs.
• To keep church membership records.
• To send you church news if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the church.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you take part in church life or as long as we need it for church records and administration. When we no longer need it, or when you ask us to delete it where we can, we remove it.

6. How we protect it

Our website uses encrypted connections. Access to member information is limited to authorised church staff and volunteers.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete your information, and
• stop sending you newsletters or other messages.

Contact the church office using the details below and we will respond.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Our Terms of Use also apply when you use the website.
